詳細 - Discover Avignon and Van Gogh in Provence 2 days / 1 night - in 3*** hotel

Validity: departure from Paris on Friday and Sunday

Day 1: Paris -Avignon

7.30 am Meet at the Gare de Lyon to take 7.54 am TGV to Avignon.
10.31 am Arrival Avignon TGV station and bus connection to Avignon town.

Check in at hotel reception and distribution of tour tickets.


“Discovery” fare covers the following sites:
The Palais des Papes with audio guide. The palace is a symbol of the Christian church’s influence in the West during the XIVth century.
The Pont d’Avignon with audio guide.
A 45 min. cruise on the Rhône river.

Dinner at the restaurant Les Domaines located on the Place de l’Horloge renowned for its operas, shows and concerts.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 2 : Les Baux de Provence - Avignon - Paris

Around 9 am pick-up for a Van Gogh excursion in Provence.
Stopover at Les Antiques in Saint Rémy de Provence (triumphal arch and mausoleum) located in an olive grove frequently
painted by Van Gogh.
Visit to les Baux de Provence, a charming village perched on a rocky spur 245 metres above sea level.
Walking tour through Arles with its rich architectural heritage notably famous Roman amphitheatres, Antique Theatre, the Cathédrale St Trophime and places made famous by Van Gogh’s paintings, most of them intact like The Yellow House, Night Café, Garden at the Hôtel Dieu...
Morning excursions : Free time for lunch at the market – Arles (Saturdays) and Fontvieille (Monday).
Return around 1.45 pm (Monday and Saturday). (Programme subject to change depending on day of week).
Free afternoon for shopping.
Around 5.30pm bus from Avignon town centre for Avignon TGV.
TGV departure 7.08 pm for Paris, arrival 10.01 pm.
